January 24th through January 28th Lake Shore Middle School celebrated Literacy Week.  This year's theme was "Launch into Literacy, Blast Off Into New Worlds".  On Monday, students wore crazy socks #LiteracyCreates.  On Tuesday, was Buddy Readers Twin Day.  Students were encouraged to read the same book together #LiteracyInspires.  Wednesday was Superhero Day.  Students were encouraged to wear their favorite superhero t-shirt to support literacy across the curriculum #LiteracyUnites.  On Thursday was "Score with Literacy" where students were encouraged to wear their favorite college jersey or t-shirt #LiteracyEmpowers.  Finally, on Friday was Lake Shore Middle School Pride Day where students were encouraged to wear either red or white shirts and to bring their favorite book for a group picture.   Teachers were not left out of the fun.  Teachers were asked to decorate their doors in celebration of literacy.  Two of the doors are represented above.
